Institute of Electrical Engineering and Electronics

The Institute conducts research in the following areas:

  • research and modeling of renewable energy sources and storage as well as strategies of their operation in an energy system,
  • modern power electronics and electromechanical energy conversion systems in electromobility and renewable energy systems,
  • sensors and electronic measurement systems in technical systems and biomedicine,
  • analysis and synthesis of modern lighting systems, taking into account, i.e., ergonomics and safety of road users.

Institute of Mathematic

The Institute conducts research in the following areas:

  • Theory of normed, quasi-normalized and F-normed spaces, including:
    • functional space geometry,
    • spaces of point products, multipliers and factorization of functional spaces.
  • Interpolation of linear operators.
  • Operators on the space of analytical functions.
  • Toeplitz and Hankel operators.
  • Applications of differential geometry and symmetry theory (Galois symmetries) in problems of mathematical physics.
  • Differential and algebraic geometry, Hodge structures.
  • Calculus of variations.
  • Hypereliptic integrals and special functions.
  • Deformation of autonomous systems with ordinary and magnetic potentials separable into non-autonomous integrable systems in the sense of Frobenius.
  • Approximation theory in functional spaces.
  • Spaces of point multipliers for pairs of functional spaces.
  • Qualitative theory of difference equations (asymptotic properties of solutions, their oscillation, limitation, stability).

  • Multivariate statistical modeling with particular emphasis on covariance structures.
